General connection issues troubleshooting tips for Android devices
1. Restart your device. It might sound simple, but sometimes that's all it takes to fix a bad connection.
2. Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data:
- Open your Settings and tap Network & internet or Connections. Depending on your device, these options may be different.
- Turn Wi-Fi off and cellular data on, and check if there’s a difference.
- If not, turn cellular data off and Wi-Fi on and check again.
3. Make sure cellular data is turned on and you have a data connection:
- Open your Settings and tap Network & internet or Connections > Cellular data.
Note: You may need to select Data usage on some devices before you find this.
- Turn Cellular data on. If it’s already on, turn it off and on again.
- Look for a data indicator (3G, 4G, or H) next to the signal strength bars at the top of the screen.
- Sometimes this indicator isn’t displayed if you have an active Wi-Fi connection. If this is the case, turn Wi-Fi off and check again.
4. Clear the app cache on your device.
Important: Before clearing the cache, make sure your game account is linked to Facebook or Plarium ID to avoid losing your in-game progress.
5. Try using a VPN. You can find free VPNs here.
6. Close other active apps while playing the game.
7. Check if your game version is up to date.
Wi-Fi connection problems
Try the solutions below if you're having Wi-Fi connection problems or see a Wi-Fi icon with an exclamation point.
1. Check settings & Restart:
- Make sure Wi-Fi is on. Then turn it off and on again to reconnect.
- Toggle Airplane mode: turn it on, wait a few seconds, then turn it off again. This refreshes your device’s network connections.
- Press and hold your phone’s power button for a few seconds, then tap Restart. If you don’t see Restart, press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds until your phone restarts.
2. Restart your router:
- Unplug your router from the power outlet, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Wait for it to fully reconnect before launching the game.
3. Find the problem type
- Phone: Try connecting to the Wi-Fi network with another device, like a laptop computer or a friend's phone. If other devices can use the network, the issue is most likely with your phone.
- Network: Check whether your phone can connect to another Wi-Fi network, like at a friend's house or a public network. If your phone can connect elsewhere, the issue is most likely with the network.
- Internet: If your phone connects to the Wi-Fi network, but you still have no internet, the problem is most likely with your internet connection. In this case, you need to contact your Internet Service Provider.
