Experiencing issues with your game not loading can be frustrating.
This guide will help you troubleshoot various general loading errors with Raid Shadow Legends, from device-related issues to network connectivity.
Loading issues can often be attributed to:
- Device-related problems
- Network connection challenges
Device Troubleshooting Steps
Free Up Storage & RAM
Having around 2-3 GB of free space on your device is essential since Raid is a large game featuring considerable cache files.
Additionally, closing any background applications consuming memory can significantly improve performance.
Check Device Health
Ensure that your device is running optimally by addressing battery optimization settings:
Android:
Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization > RAID > Don't optimize (Android).
iOS:
Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health (& Charging). Then, look for the Peak Performance Capability message: if iOS enabled it, you should see a Disable option.
On rooted/jailbroken devices > RAID may fail to load.
Cache issue
Important: Before clearing the cache, remember to link your game account to a Plarium ID, Google/Apple, or Facebook to prevent losing access to it.
Clear the app cache on your device. The instructions vary depending on your device's manufacturer.
Android
1. Open the Settings of your device
2. Tap the Storage heading to open its settings page
3. Tap the Other Apps heading to see a list of your installed apps
4. Find the application you want to clear the cache of and tap its listing
5. Tap the Clear cache button
iOS
1. Tap Settings > General > iPhone Storage
2. Locate and open RAID: Shadow Legends in the list
3. Tap Delete App, then restart the device
4. Head to the App Store to re-download it
Device compatibility issues
If you continue to have issues, consider running the game on your PC via the Plarium Play launcher or using a different device.
Occasionally, loading issues can arise during server maintenance, typically lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. You can check the server status here.
Also, we post news about our server status in the Announcement tab of our official Discord server.
Optimize your game graphics settings.
Sometimes, performance slows down due to high graphics settings. You can enhance gameplay stability by adjusting the graphics:
1. Tap your Avatar
2. Select the "Options" tab
3. Change the Graphic Quality to Medium or Low
4. Set the Frame Rate Limit to 30 FPS
Network-related issues
Sometimes you may face disconnects when playing.
A situation in which an in-game error appears is called a disconnect. Disconnects may be caused by internet connectivity issues or local issues with a particular device.
Below is the list of the most common in-game errors, together with their description, shown when a game disconnects:
Timeout error
This error appears when an Internet connection fails on a player's device. Please check the basic troubleshooting for the connectivity issues, depending on the platform:
Connection error (Android)
Connection error (iOS)
Validation error
In most cases, this error appears when additional third-party software is installed on a device that interacts with a game, the game was not installed via the official resources, or game files were modified.
Please make sure that RAID is downloaded and installed using the official resources. Also, remove additional software that interacts with a game if installed on your device.
Connection error
Please check your Internet connection. Test it with a different online resource, and if it seems fine, restart the game. If not, toggle Airplane Mode ON for 10 seconds and then OFF. This forces the mobile device to re-establish connection with the cell tower or router.
For Android 9+:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Private DNS and ensure it is set to Automatic. If it is set to a 'Private DNS provider hostname,' it may block the game's connection.
If the issue persists, try using a VPN service. Browse and download free VPN apps on the Play Store or App Store.
You can find free VPNs here. Ensure no ad blockers/custom DNS / firewall apps are interfering.
Reset your Network Settings.
For iOS:
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
That also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, VPN, and APN settings you've used before.
For Android:
Find and tap Settings > System > Reset options > Reset network settings > Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile, and Bluetooth > Reset Settings.
If you experience any error message not listed above or if the game crashes without displaying an error, please do not hesitate to contact the Support Team. Please add screenshots and describe the issue to speed up the case resolution.
