Basics
Relics are unique equippable items that offer stat bonuses and unique Abilities. The bonuses and Abilities that each Relic offers are unique, and cannot be changed. However, Relics themselves can be upgraded.
You can also customize Relics using Gemstones. Gemstones grant Relics additional passive Abilities when they are inserted into Sockets.
Relics can provide a bonus to the following Champion stats:
- HP
- ATK
- DEF
- SPD
- C. DMG
- RES
- ACC
Relic Groups
Each Relic belongs to a Group. Groups are determined by the Materials needed to craft a Relic, and where you can get them. You can find out more about the different Relic Groups in the table below:
Group name | Description |
Standard Group | Relics in this Group can be crafted in the Forge using any Materials from any location. |
Chimera Group | Relics in this Group can only be crafted in the Forge using Materials received from Chimera Battles. |
Event Group | Relics in this Group can be earned from special time-limited Events or crafted in the Forge using Materials received from such Events. |
Relic Rank and Rarity
All Relics have a Rank and a Rarity. They can be either Rare, Epic, Legendary, or Mythical Rarity.
The Rarity of a Relic will determine how many Sockets it has, as well as its starting Rank and the strength of its Ability. A Relic’s Rarity is unique and fixed - there cannot be two identical Relics with differing Rarities. You cannot change a Relic’s Rarity.
- Rare Relic - 1 Socket
- Epic Relic - 2 Sockets
- Legendary Relic - 3 Sockets
- Mythical Relic - 4 Sockets
The Rank of a Relic will determine the maximum Level that a Relic can be upgraded to. There are 6 Ranks, similar to Champions. A Relic’s starting Rank is determined by its Rarity.
- Rare Relic - Rank 1
- Epic Relic - Rank 2
- Legendary Relic - Rank 3
- Mythical Relic - Rank 4
All Relics can be upgraded to Rank 6. To upgrade a Relic’s Rank, you must upgrade it to the maximum possible Level for its current Rank. Then you must sacrifice other Relics of the same Rank, or Basalt of the same Rank. The amount of Relics or Basalt required is equal to the Relic’s current Rank, similar to Champions.
Relic Level
A Relic’s Level determines its stat bonuses and the strength of its unique Ability. Every Relic starts at Level 0, and can be upgraded using Starstones. Relics can be upgraded to a maximum of Level 18 at Rank 6. By upgrading a Relic’s Level, you increase its existing stat bonuses, unlock new ones, and make the Relic’s Ability more powerful.
A Relic’s maximum Level is determined by its Rank:
- Rank 1 - Level 3
- Rank 2 - Level 6
- Rank 3 - Level 9
- Rank 4 - Level 12
- Rank 5 - Level 15
- Rank 6 - Level 18
New stat bonuses will be unlocked at Relic Levels 9 and 15. Abilities also have their own level, and it will increase at Relic Levels 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18.
Sockets
Relics can be customized using Gemstones, which are inserted into Sockets (known as socketing). There are 5 different shapes of Socket:
- Circular
- Triangular
- Square
- Diamond
- Pentagonal
Gemstones can only be socketed into Sockets of the same shape i.e. a Square Gemstone in a Square Socket. The number and shape of a Relic’s Sockets cannot be changed.
Gemstones
Gemstones are unique items that can be socketed to grant a Champion additional passive Abilities. Gemstones come in the same variety of shapes as Sockets:
- Circular
- Triangular
- Square
- Diamond
- Pentagonal
A Gemstone’s shape cannot be changed. There cannot be two Gemstones that have different shapes and the same Ability.
A Gemstone can be any of the following Rarities:
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Mythical
A Gemstone’s Rarity determines the strength of its passive Ability. Each Gemstone has a predetermined Rarity that cannot be changed. There cannot be two identical Gemstones with different Rarities.
Gemstones can be socketed into any Relic, as long as there is a corresponding shape. For example, you can socket a Mythical Gemstones into a Rare Relic, and vice versa.
