Champion Vaults let you store Champions that you don’t plan on leveling up or upgrading just yet, but don’t want to sacrifice either.
There are two Vaults: the Master Vault and the Reserve Vault.
The Master Vault is there to keep Champions that you use often, but that you don't need to keep in your Collection. Champions in the Master Vault get to keep their Gear equipped, so they're ready to head into battle at any time.
The Reserve Vault is where you keep your reserve Champions - those that you don't actively use in Battle, and therefore don't need to stay fully equipped. To put a Champion in the Reserve Vault, you'll need to remove all their Artifacts and Accessories. Also, you can send Champions to the Reserve Vault immediately after summoning them in the Portal.

Basics
You can access both the Master and Reserve Vaults from the moment you start the game. Go to the Champions tab and tap the "Champion Vaults" button that appears below the Champion Collection.

Select the Champions you want to move to the Vaults by tapping on their portraits. Make sure that you don’t select more Champions than the number of available Vault slots. You can move Champions from the Collection to either of the Vaults, as well as between both Vaults.
Note that you cannot send all your Champions to the Vaults. At least one Champion must remain in the Champion Collection.
Both Champions from the Master and Reserve Vaults can participate in Battles, though you probably don't want to use your Reserve Champions very often as they won't have any Gear equipped.

Champions that are currently being used will have a tick mark on their portrait in the Collection. If you select them, a popup will appear explaining why the Champion cannot be moved to the Vaults.

If you want to move these Champions to either the Master Vault or the Reserve Vault, you must first remove them from wherever they're being used. Just tap the “Remove” button when the popup appears, then choose which Vault you want to move them to.

To remove Champions from the Champion Vaults, tap on their portraits in the Vault window. Then, tap either the “To Collection” button or the "To Master Vault"/"To Reserve Vault" button, depending on where your Champions are and where you would like to send them.
Summoning Champions in the Reserve Vault
In the Portal, you can choose where new Champions will be summoned to. By default, new Champions will immediately be sent to the Champion Collection. Once you reach Level 60, you can change this in the Portal to instead summon Champions directly to the Reserve Vault. This option is available for all types of Shard.

After summoning Champions directly to the Reserve Vault, you can filter to find Champions that have been recently summoned.

Champion Vault Restrictions
Champions stored in the Vaults cannot:
- Enter the Sparring Pit
- Join your Arena Defense Teams
- Equip new Gear or upgrade Masteries
Champions cannot be sent to the Reserve Vault with Gear equipped.

Note: when switching between the Vault tabs, any Champion selections will be lost.
Vault Expansion
The Master Vault initially has 10 open Slots and the Reserve Vault initially has 600 open Slots. The Master Vault can be expanded to a maximum of 400 Slots, while the Reserve Vault can be expanded to 1200. Each expansion adds 10 new Slots and costs a certain amount of Silver or Gems.
When either your Master or Reserve Vault is full, a popup will appear prompting you to expand your Vault. Tap the “+” icon in the final Slot in the full Vault to expand it. You can choose whether you want to use Silver or Gems to expand the Vaults.

Faction Guardians Commissioning
Faction Guardians placed into Guardian Chambers can be commissioned. Commissioning Faction Guardians permanently removes them from your account and makes the bonus granted by the Faction Chamber they’re in permanent.
This action is optional, allowing you to gain the bonuses provided by Faction Guardians without the need to store Champions in the Collection or the Vaults.
Note:
- Commissioned Champions are considered removed from your account. You cannot use them or undo this action after you have commissioned them.
- Guardian Chambers are filled from left to right. When you commission Faction Guardians, the game automatically moves the commissioned Faction Guardians to the leftmost Chamber that doesn’t currently have commissioned Champions.
